Web to PNG converter
Webpage to PNG converter is a free online application that pulls the useful content out of a web page and saves it into a PNG file. That useful content may be an ebook or a document, a publication or simply an article. There is nothing to install and nothing to pay for: it takes a few seconds to convert a webpage into PNG, and the result is available right away. Our web page to PNG converter uses several different ways of detecting blocks of useful content, so that the article itself is separated from menus, banner ads, comments and any other text you do not need — that is what makes turning a web page into PNG more useful than a plain screenshot of the site. If the page whose address you send requires authorisation to view its content, or if that content has commercial value, please do not expect the application to guess credentials or to break a system's protection against unauthorised access. It does not accept your credentials either, and it will never sign in on your behalf. But if you can save that page in your browser, we can try to pull the useful content out of the saved page into a file. Read the next paragraph to find out how to prepare the file. We care about the quality of every webpage-to-PNG conversion and keep widening the range of sites the application can handle. Many sites do not give away all their content at once: they release it in portions as you scroll, or after other actions that trigger the page's own code, and only then can the content be collected in full. So if today you could not turn webpage to PNG, try the same address again in a week — by then the application may handle your particular site much better.
Converting a saved page
We want you to have more ways to convert the useful content of your web page, so we have implemented conversion from a page saved to a file. This is needed most of all when a website shows its content in the browser only to registered users and you are exactly such a user. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to prepare the file:
- Through the browser menu (or the CTRL+S key combination) save the page, choose the "Save page completely" option, either in MHTML format or in HTML format.
- After saving, try to open the saved file in the browser; if you do not see the content you need there, it means we will not be able to help you with anything, otherwise go on to the next step.
- If you saved your web page in HTML format, you need to find the folder with the same name as the file next to it, select the folder and the file and pack them into a ZIP archive, and then send us that archive. If you saved it in MHTML format, you send that single file.
